My Implied Author :D

While I was writing my paper on depression, as with most of the papers I write, the main thing I wanted my audience to know was that I was well-informed on the topic at hand. I wanted them to think that I was astute, keen, and effective.  For me it is most important that the reader know that they can trust my information. To do this without seeming completely heartless, I included a personal note. I think these together make my argument persuasive because it shows that I have both personal experience with the topic, as well as further research. I like this persona because I think it should be effective.

  1. I wrote about depression as well. I also wanted my audience to see me as astutue, keen, and effective. I tried to add a personal note, but I really don't know anyone who has had severe depression. I'm not sure if my intended persona was accurately conveyed, but I'm somewhat confident that my message will be well-received.
