LOG 2: "Implied Author"

The implied author I sought to create for paper one was intended to be knowledgeable, factual, and informative. I hoped to convey a persona that would seem like he knew what he was talking about or had a fondness for this branch of psychology. I believe that I hit all of the marks for this paper when it came to my persona because most of my peers suggested that I should put more of myself, my voice into the paper. I hope that doesn’t mean I took it too far, but I did revise my final draft to try to alleviate the problem somewhat. I feel as if this knowledgeable, factual, and informative persona I conjured should make my argument more persuasive by giving my writing a more instructor-like feel. I hope that the veneer helps convey a sense of importance when it comes to eradicating the stigma of mental health.

  1. I'm so glad hat you took our advice and added more voice to your paper! You had great facts and a fantastic argument in your paper, so I'm sure that it will be spectacular now that you've added personal details!

  2. It is very good to create a persona that is knowledegeable and factual. When you have a knowledegeable and a factual persona together you are able to write faster and you are able to make each paragraph flow onto the next paragraph. These two factors in your paper lets your arguments become stronger
