Last night of SSA

Summer Scholars Academy allowed me to learn more about myself and experience what college is like. I learned how to extract strawberry DNA and my own DNA in my DNA class, and I also learned how to write a well written essay in a short amount of time.  I will remember my awesome roommate Phoebe, Anna, KJ, Lindsey, Dericka, Lewis, Will, Ryan, Logan, Mikaela, Lucas, NaTane, Wesley,  and everyone else that I’ve become friends with in these past two weeks. I learned that someone you have to get out of your comfort zone to make new friends because you can’t be the shy one and expect to make friends. I also learned that I work well with others and teamwork is one of my strongest strengths from the personality quiz we took for our service project.  What I experienced in these two weeks will help me in the fall because I have learned to look at life in different ways, and I learned that I can become friends with any type of person if they are willing to be friends.
