My perspective on writing has metamorphosed drastically over the past two years whilst being an enrolled student at my high school--it went from being a really mature chicken's handwriting to an amateur (or novice) young adult's version. Who I attribute to the most with that change is my Biology/Chemistry teacher because she made the other students and I write THE MOTHER-LOAD amount of notes. If you didn't, you'd be shafted because for one: you could use notes on quizzes, and two: if you didn't analyze her notes in depth prior to a test, you'd be in a situation that's very detrimental. Since I learned all of this from mistakes, my hand adapted to writing very expeditiously. Yeah, it felt like she is the reason why I have an imaginative variation of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, but it has really helped me prepare for college classes and life. Writing that fast is my new forte, and I am grateful that I had her as a teacher to aid me through this writing style.

I think all of us have a type of carpel tunnel syndrome from all the note taking we do in school. It's great that you have been prepared for college through your classes because that is very helpful for high school and for when you get to college. Keep up the hard work in your classes!
ReplyDeleteI can definitely hear your voice on this as I was reading this - funny! I definitely think that my writing has blossomed as well; I can definitely relate to you on that. I'm also glad you had that teacher! Teachers have really had an influence on our work, and this one seems to have a huge influence on you!
ReplyDeleteKnowing how to wirte good notes is what I think is key to being a overall A student. In my high school if you have some notes you will do ok, no notes is a failing grade of the class and having very detailed notes can get you an A in a class you think was never possible.
