Experience At Six Flags
Where can I start? Going to Six Flags had to be my favorite highlight of the program, hands down! Since they took away Six Flags from Houston in 2005, I haven't been there since! It was amazing recognizing rides that I wish I could have ridden when I was younger. I only rode one roller coaster, I can't remember the name, but that was the scariest thing I have ever did in my life. It would flip you upside down and sideways! I thought I was going to die! I did one more short ride, which was not scary at all then proceeded to the water park. Although I did hit my head on the closed in slide, I had an amazing time. Various students helped me out and were just amazing, I still appreciate it to this day. After all this, I ate my first funnel cake and got very addicted. It took everything I had not to buy another one because I was trying to save money. Overall, it was a really amazing day and I thank SSA for taking us there!
Blog 4: Final Thoughts
I really enjoyed the Summers Scholars Academy at TLU. It was an amazing experience and one that I will never forget. I met so many amazing students and will miss them all. Every time I listen to something or hear about something, it reminds me of each and every one. I shared so many memories with so many different people that it's too many to describe on here. I'm going to miss this summer program so much. It's only been 2 days and I miss it so much! I feel like this journey will affect me very positively by making me even more motivated than I already am. I hope I get to see everyone again someday. See you guys later. :)

Blog No. 4 To The Very End: Final Thoughts
Summer Scholars Academy was a lot more awesome than I had expected. I learned a lot about PCR and got to do a lot more hands-on work in 'DNA and You' with Dr. Bob Jonas. I thought it was cool how we got to do a lot more involved work than we were typically allowed to do in high school, and learn new, college-level information. I also feel that I learned and improved more in the two weeks I spent in Professor Bost's class than I had in the years since learning to write speed essays. I really liked the idea of free-writing and found it to be very releasing. I enjoyed the photographic essay quite a bit as well (I think it was mostly because I got to demonstrate my art skills in it too.) It was unlike anything I ever did in any English or writing class, and was a unique experience. These experiences taught me a lot more about what college will be like, and I have had one of the greatest learning experiences here at Summer Scholars Academy. It will motivate me to work hard and persevere through the upcoming school year in the fall, by looking forward to going to college. It will help me work through my tough homework loads knowing that I've gone through worse homework-hardships while here at Summer Scholar's Academy, and quite frankly, I made it out alive and a lot stronger and smarter than I was before. I really got to know a lot of people and it was really great to feel part of a community like the Summer Scholar's Academy. I'll never forget the friends I made here.
Hi everybody i cant believe this is my last post i am really and truley going to miss you guys with all my heart. Being here at SSA it has taught me to be better prepared for life and living.Although, living on your own is not easy it requires much more than sleeping in, going at your own pace, and having fun with your friends all the time. SSA gave me a higher percentage rate of becoming a young adult and giving me that college feeling. Dr.Shao my movie maker media class he has helped me step by step and he has been very supportive and i couldnt ask for anything better than that. Professor Bost has been a sweetheart and he was always using big words (i guess that means i need to study my dictonary) but it has made me use my brain alot. Its a good feeling and i loved every second of it!!! PS. Except for the SOOOOOO MUCH HOMEWORK
6 Flags i absoulutely loved 6 Flags and it was very much needed a VACATION that has relax me for all the writing hahaha jk it just made me want to go back some time soon. I love every last ride i could get my hands on and loved how before every ride we all said "TURN UP". oMG I AM GOING TO MISS YOU GUYS SOOOO MUCH yall have became a big part of my heart and i couldnt ask for anything better. Have a Great Summer!!!

Summer Scholarship Academy and Six Flags Fiesta Texas!
Hey, y'all! This is my last blog post here! I'm going to be blunt: I learned a lot from Summer Scholarship Academy. My professors were very attentive with their students (it's an advantage because of the miniscule-sized classes). My Psychology professor, Dr. Sia, was the most interesting teacher that I've ever had. She's very spunky. I learned from her that psychology isn't just helping people; it's about studying the mind. My English professor, Professor Bost, was very polite and worked in an urbane environment. Due to this, I learned how to be a better writer. We had to write essays (which were tedious out of the wazoo), and the students criticized our works. It benefited me a lot because that indicated where my Achilles Heel was. Thanks, y'all!
My day at Six Flags Fiesta Texas was fun. I was paired up with some great students and counselor [Elisa]. We didn't get on the big rides like the Iron Rattler, Poltergeist, Superman, and etc. We rode a ride that spun us around until we wanted to regurgitate, Crow's Nest Ferris Wheel, Scooby-Doo Ghost Blasters, Bugs' White Water Rapids, and some other kiddie rides. We were there for nine frickin' hours--noon-nine p.m. I was excited to get back because of the excess amount of fatigue rushing through me. Well, that concludes this post. BYE!

Fiesta Texas + Friends= Memories Forever
Six Flags Fiesta Texas has always been one of my favorite
places to go during the summer time, and this was my first time being at Fiesta
Texas in 4 years. The Iron Rattler is by far my favorite ride. The Rattler was
always my favorite ride, but the new improvements to the ride made the ride
100x more entertaining. The group I was a part of did not go to the water park
at all, but instead we made sure we rode every roller coaster at Fiesta Texas.
We even rode some of the rides multiple times! I rode the Superman, the Scream,
the poltergeist, and The Goliath all for the first time on Tuesday. I
absolutely loved riding the Superman and Scream with my group of friends with I
have become really close with while being here. We took so many pictures while
at Fiesta Texas. One time while we were riding the Poltergeist, and I had left
my phone with Phoebe and Anna and that was a horrible idea on my part. They
took so many photos on my phone, I have no idea how many they exactly took, but
looking through the photos made me realize that sure I made a mistake leaving
my friends with my phone but I also got to see all of the wonderful photos they
left me. I will not forget this trip to Fiesta Texas because the trip was
incredible.
